3:16 Family Fishing Club Rules
These rules will remain in effect during the 2020 season. Interpretation of these rules willbe left exclusively to the Tournament Director. In the event of a rule violation, the Tournament Director may impose such sanctions, as he deems appropriate, including,without limitation, disqualifications, forfeiture of prizes and prohibition from participation in subsequent tournaments. Decisions of the Tournament Director are final in all matters and are not subject to appeal, and are not reviewable by any court of law. The3:16 Family Fishing Club (316FFC) reserves the right to make needed changes to these rules in order to ensure the safety and welfare of the 316FFC anglers, and/or the public and preserve the integrity of the 316FFC. Any rule changes will immediately supersede all previously published copies of rules. It is your responsibility to read and understand therules and how you, your points and qualification for the Classic are affected by not complying with the following rules.Every Angler will be required to sign an affidavit that he/she has read, understands and accepts all Rules. Every angler will be required to sign a waiver of liability also. Refusal of either will result in denial of entry into any 316FFC event.
1. Participation and Eligibility:
Participation is open to anyone 18 years or older. Anyone under the age of 18 must be partnered with a team member over 18 years of age and have a parent or guardians written permission
The following are NOT eligible to enter:
Any angler that has competed, within the previous 12 months, in a B.A.S.S. Elite Series Event, FLW Tour Event or Bass Pro Tour Event
Any angler that has committed to compete in 2020 in a B.A.S.S. Elite Series Event, FLW Tour Event or Bass Pro Tour Event
Any angler that has guided for bass on tournament waters in the preceding 90 days of Tournament for any method of compensation
Any angler the Tournament Director should decide to refuse entry
2. Federal, State and Local Laws:
All contestants must have a valid fishing license and are required to obey all federal, state and local laws andregulations.
3. Teams:
Teams will consist of a Captain and Co-Angler. Captains will name 1 primary and 2 alternate Co-Anglers Primary Co must be named by the 3rd tournament of the season Each Captain will be given a boat number at the first event they attend. Captains if necessary can fish solo. (Entry and big bass will be the same since fees are per boat) A Co-Angler will be allowed to become a captain but will only be able to retain his/her points from the first 3 tournaments of the season. (So basically if you want to become a captain better do it by the 4th tournament). It will be the responsibility of the Co-Angler to let the tournament director know of this change to retain his/her points from said tournaments above. If a Captain is eligible for the classic he must fish the classic with his/her primary or fish solo. Only inthe event of military deployment or the death of a Primary Co-A, the Tournament Director may, after reviewing the circumstances, approve an alternate Co-A for the Classic.
4. Safety:
Safe boating must be observed at all times. Each Contestant is required to wear a fastened (fully zipped and/or all clips fastened), U.S. Coast Guard approved, personal flotation device anytime the combustion engine is in operation from boat check until weigh-in. All boats must be equipped with an emergency ignition shut-off device, which must be securely attached to the driver's body any time the combustion engine is in operation. The driver must be seated in the driver's seat anytime the combustionengine is engaged in gear. 1st offense verbal warning will be issued for either offense. 2nd offense written warning and suspension of 1 tournament. 3rd offense suspension and forfeit of money and points for the current season.
Tournament days may be shortened or canceled due to unsafe weather or any conditions that would endanger the safety of the competitors at the Tournament Director’s sole and absolute discretion. Competitors are allowed to leave the boat and seek shelter in bad weather,at which time no fishing may occur.
5..Permitted Fishing Methods:
Only artificial lures may be used withthe exception of pork trailers and biodegradable soft baits. Only one fishing rod per angler may be used at any one time. Additional rods may be in the boat and ready for use;however, each cast and retrieve must be completed before another cast is attempted or rod is used. Trolling asa method of fishing is prohibited. Switching or sharing fishwith other teams or individuals is a violation of these rules and will result in immediate disqualification. All Bass must becaught alive, in a conventional, sporting manner. When sight fishing forBass, all fish must be hooked inside the mouth to be counted as a legal fish.
6. Trailering is Not Allowed: In the event ofsevere weather or location limitations, alternate take-off and check-in instructions will be given at the registration site, at the sole discretion of the Tournament Director.
7. Scoring:
NO DEAD FISH WILL BE WEIGHED Will be determined bythe official weight of each angler's catch during the tournament. Only Largemouth, Spotted,Red Eye or Smallmouth Bass(collectively, Bass”) are accepted species. The limit will be five Bass perteam. Any Contestant who possesses more than the tournament limit, unless actively culling, will have their catch for that day disqualified. The minimum official length limit for all species for 316FFC events will be 14” unless the lake limit is more than 14”,in which case, the lake limit will supercede the 316FFC limit. Bass will be measured with mouth closed,tail compressed and swiped to achieve overall greatest length. A measuring board will be provided atcheck-in and will serve as the officialmeasuring standard for 316FFC events. It is the contestant’s responsibility to ensure all fish presented for weigh-in are of legal length according solely to the 316FFC official measuring board. The “Check It Stik” measuring board will be the official board of the 316FFC
8. Sportsmanship and Conduct:
All Contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation. Examples of conduct not complying with those standards include, but are not limited to, the following: • Consumption and/or possession of alcoholic beverages or any mind-altering substance during tournament hours extending through the weigh-in process • Actions or words which reflect unfavorably upon efforts to promote safety, sportsmanship, and fair competition; • Chemical substance abuse or addiction; • Disqualification from any tournament that resulted from unexplained rule violations that result in a Contestant’s honesty, integrity, character, and qualifications for entry into a Tournament being questionable in the Tournament Director’s sole and absolute discretion. Upon review of the circumstances by the Tournament Director, the Tournament Director shall have the right to refuse any entry, or to deny a confirmed entry, by returning the entry fee of a previously accepted entry, or disqualifying a Team.
9. Points System:
Points will be awarded as follows:
1st = 100 pts Big Bass = 5pts 2nd= 99 pts 3rd= 98 pts etc, etc, Awards will be given to the top 5 in points at the end of the regular season. Awards will be given out at the classic
10. The Classic
The top 10 in points will have earned their way to fish in the Classic. The Classic lake will be chosen by random draw by a random generator. (will be recorded) The top 10 will enter one choice per boat to be entered into the random draw.
The Classic will be 100% PAYBACK Entry fee and Big Bass 100% **Any club money after club expenses that is leftover will be added to the top 3 place winnings.
Entry fee: $150 per boat Big Bass Included
Based on if all top 10 attended the payout would be as follows:
**Minimum payout if all 10 Attend 1st place= $800 Big Bass= $200 2nd place= $350 3rd place= $150

WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT 1. I hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue 3:16 Family Fishing Club, its officers, servants, agents and sponsors (hereinafter referred to as "releasees") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or relating to any loss, damage or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, whether caused by the negligence of the releasees, or otherwise, while participating in the tournament and events, or while in, on or upon the premises where the tournament and events are being conducted, while in transit to or from the premises, or in any place or places connected with the tournament and events. 2. I am fully aware of risks and hazards connected with being on the premises and participating in the tournament and events, and I am fully aware that there may be risks and hazards unknown to me connected with being on the premises and participating in the tournament and events, and I hereby elect to voluntarily participate in the tournament and events, to enter upon the tournament and events premises and engage in activities knowing that conditions may be hazardous, or may become hazardous or dangerous to me and my property. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of my being a participant in the tournament and events, whether caused by the negligence of releasees or otherwise. 3. I further hereby agree to indemnify and save and hold harmless the releasees and each of them, from any loss, liability, damage or costs they may incur due to my participation in the tournament and events, whether caused by the negligence of any or all of the releasees, or otherwise. 4. It is my express intent that this Release shall bind the members of my family and spouse, if I am alive, and my heirs, assigns and personal representative, if I am deceased, and shall be deemed as a Release, Waiver, Discharge and Covenant Not to Sue the above named releasees.
In signing this release, I acknowledge and represent that: A. I have read the foregoing release, understand it, and sign it voluntarily as my own free act and deed; B. No oral representation, statements or inducements, apart from the foregoing written agreement, have been made; C. I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and fully competent; and D. I execute this Release for full, adequate and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by same.
I HAVE READ AND HAVE UNDERSTOOD THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND NAME AND LIKENESS RELEASE. I UNDERSTAND THAT BY SIGNING THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE, I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS. I HAVE VOLUNTARILY SIGNED THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE.
