2021 Level Grove Fishing Tournament

Level Grove Baptist Church will be hosting its 2nd annual fishing tournament on March 27th at safelight. The tournament will be held at Poplar Springs boat ramp. We will have a angler meeting on March 26th to go over rules, eat, and give out door prizes. location of Angler meeting will be determined because of shortage of parking since the church is undergoing construction. Pay in is $80 a boat. No more than 2 people per boat. Payout will be: 1st- $1000 2nd- $500 3rd - $350 Big Fish- $500 Please note this payout has a 50 boat minimum. anything under that prizes will be determined.
• Boat checks/Registration will begin at 5:00 a.m. Blast off will be at 7:00 a.m or safe light. • All teams must pre-register before launching. • During boat checks live wells/boats will be inspected. • No live bait is allowed. • Artificial bait only. • 5 Bass per team with a minimum of 12 inches in length. Bass under size will not be weighed. A half ounce penalty will be issued for each undersized bass. • No fishing allowed within 100 feet of another boat. • A dead fish is not eligible for big fish prize. • Personal floatation devices must be worn at all times when the combustion engine is running and kill switch must be attached to boater. • All boats must check-in by designated flight times for weigh-in. A 5 lb. Penalty will be applied against any team that does not check-in with weigh-in team. If an emergency situation arises please notify Officials by phone. • There will be no refunds of the Entry Fee unless an event is cancelled in advance by the tournament officials. • Signing the rules form constitutes a representation by each Participant that he/she has read and understands the Rules and the Participant will abide by such Rules and the decisions of the Event Director and/or Event Staff. • All Federal and Provincial boating regulations must be adhered to. • In the event of a tie, for any position the cash prizes for that position and the next position will be added together and distributed equally among the tied teams. • Largemouth, spotted and smallmouth bass are the only eligible species. • No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs may be consumed or in possession of any competitor or boat. • All taxes on any prize awards are the responsibility of the recipient. • It is recommended that each team wishing to register due so prior to event day. If registration is done at the ramp it needs to be performed before the 1 hour registration cutoff prior to event the morning of. • All anglers and co anglers must have current fishing permits and the vessel in use must meet all coast guard requirements. • Only one rod and reel combination may be used at one time. No one is to exit the boat. All bass must be caught live and in a conventional sporting manner. All angling must be done from the boat, anglers are not permitted to leave the boat to land a fish or to gain access to secluded waters. Cotmpetitors must leave and return to official checkpoint by boat. Both competitors must remain in the boat at all times except in case of dire emergency. • All boats must have a working live well with aerator. Fish will not be put on a stringer at any time. • All liability from injury or damage/loss of property is waived by participants when the anglers and co-anglers sign registration/rules sheet. Level Grove Baptist Church, state of Georgia nor all affiliates can not be held liable or responsible for any damages to property, injuries/death that is associated with the fishing tournament in question.
